  • Bilstein

In 1954, BILSTEIN was the first to realise the potential offered by an idea of Prof. Bourcier de Carbon, a French researcher in the field of vibrations. The aim was to eliminate the physical disadvantages of the conventional telescopic shock absorbers, whilst at the same time making the dampers lighter and able to be fitted in any position.

Enormous effort went into development, accompanied by substantial investment in the necessary production facilities, in order to achieve this ambitious target. And it paid off. The introduction of the first mono-tube gas pressure shock absorber in a standard production Mercedes-Benz vehicle in 1957 by what was at the time the 'Fittings and car jack manufacturer BILSTEIN' (Beschlag- und Wagenheber-Hersteller BILSTEIN) is still today considered a major contribution to active driving safety.

Gas pressure technology is now used in all types of telescope shock absorbers developed for use on powerful, high-class cars. The latest highlight is the development of the air spring module that BILSTEIN supplies 'just in sequence' to the Mercedes S-Class production line.

To this day, the demands of its customers in the automotive and tuning industries, combined with its commitment to motor sports, are what drive development and innovation at BILSTEIN. All AMG Mercedes in the DTM and over half of the teams in the 24 hour race on the Nürburgring approach the starting line with BILSTEIN accessories.

The name BILSTEIN has for many decades been closely associated with high tech in the field of suspension design, driving comfort and safety. In order to expand this position in the future, BILSTEIN became a division of ThyssenKrupp Technologies AG in 1988, and a wholly-owned subsidiary in 2005. The partnership and co-operation within the group will enable the company to continue to inspire with innovations in the traditional BILSTEIN way.

  • BC Racing

BC Racing is the own brand range of coilover kits from a large manufacturer of suspension products.

The mainstay of the manufacturer is producing units for a wide range of companies including a number of premium brands within the coilover market. The release of the BC Racing own brand gives end users the benefit of the knowledge, manufacturing processes and economies of scale of a large suspension manufacturer but at the prices which are more associated with the lower quality units cluttering the market at the moment.

Damping adjustment allows you to fine tune your car to suit your needs and the cars intended use. Adjustment should always be made in axle pairs, so both fronts must be tuned the same and both rears must be tuned the same.

The BC Racing coilovers are a direct replacement for the original equipment. Unlike other brands of coilovers, the BC Racing range do not require brackets fabricating, cable ties or jubilee clips to install. The bottom mounts come with all brackets to take the original ABS sensor leads, brake lines, anti roll bar drop links etc.Just take off your original equipment suspension and install the BC Racing suspension. A straightforward and simple install

The stainless steel components are machined on the latest computer controlled equipment to ensure perfect repeatability and quality.

The moulding and tooling, design and manufacturing is carried out within the factory ensuring very rapid response time to special projects and complete communication between development, prototyping, testing and manufacturing departments. Component manufacturing is carried out with the latest automatic processing equipment ensuring 100% right first time quality. Testing of new components is carried out both on the vehicle and on test rigs.

For those unfamiliar with this it is an international standard to show that the company operates to a system of quality procedures.

For smaller companies this can be straightforward but for a company of our size with complex manufacturing and over 2500 part numbers, it is a big achievement especially as this was done with no major changes to our rigorous quality procedures.

We were awarded this on our first assessment inspection with no changes or recommendations to the way the business operates. This is a testament to the way we run the business and especially the people within it.

All of these factors combined make POWERFLEX the number one selling performance bushes in Europe.

  • Spax

10 Reasons to buy Spax Suspension

    1. We are all mad... about performance!. All of the team that works at SPAX are all confirmed petrolheads, whether they are into racing, classics, modified cars or even bikes, everyone is passionate in one way or another and our products and company reflect this.

    2. We only make performance suspension for cars, that’s all, we don’t make parts for ships, buses or shopping trolleys, which means that our existence depends upon how well our suspension products perform on your car.

    3. We test every kit meticulously before it is launched. SPAX are not just a manufacturer. All of the suspension kits we develop are tested on the cars they were developed for before we start to sell them. In addition, we test every damper on a computer dyno before it leaves the factory.

    4. All of our suspension comes from the U.K. Our parts are sourced in mainland Europe. We do not import from Africa, India or any other well-known car-producing region!

    5. We are located right in the heart of Formula 1 country. This helps us make sure that we can get the best designed and produced components locally, that all go in to your suspension.

    6. We powder coat our products. This is the longest lasting coating available for suspension today.

    7. Our spring kits are made of Chrome Silicone, the same as formula 1 and world rally championship vehicles use.

    8. We have a wealth of design experience (50 years making suspension) as well as practical performance experience (thousands of race wins, world land speed record holders).

    9. We are constantly looking for ways to improve the product. A SPAX product bought today is completely re-designed compared with one bought years ago. You don’t always see the improvements, but they are always happening.

    10. Finally, we are German TUV approved. This is possibly the toughest type approval anywhere in the world. It means you get the safest, best produced product available.

  • ST

Founded in the early 80’s in Southern California, under the company name of Suspension Techniques. Suspension Techniques developed many innovative products and solutions in response to market demands. Utilizing quality materials, modern technologies, and streamline processes Suspension Techniques was able to provide excellent value for their product in the marketplace. Suspension Techniques soon established themselves as a recognized name in the Sport Compact suspension tuning industry. This success helped garner the attention of many enthusiasts and tuners resulting in a strong growth in the brand in the USA.

The Sporttech & Speedtech lowering springs along with the Suspension Techniques Sway Bar kits became a household name in the tuning scene in the 80's and 90's, being referred to in many circles simply as ST. In 1995 this attention attracted a new owner, Belltech Sport Trucks, who brought a whole new dimension to the ST lineup. With the acquisition ST was relocated from southern California to Fresno CA.

In 2005, the German suspension manufacturer KW automotive GmbH, well known internationally for their KW Coilover height adjustable suspension systems, purchased both Belltech Sport Trucks and Suspension Techniques and launched KW automotive North America Inc. With the name purchase and a formal name change of the brand to it’s current nameplate of “ST suspensions”. The infusion of the technology from ST’s new parent company took ST's game to a whole new level, increasing not only its application range coverage, but adding the innovative ST Coilover program, which was modeled after a galvanized KW Variant 1 coilover design.

With this influx of worldwide technology, staff, and engineering base ST boasts one of the largest application ranges and largest distribution chains of any suspension manufacturer in North America.

  • Vibra Technics

It was realised in the early 1990's that there were some fast and expensive sports cars being built with fairly crude engine mountings and that little was available for the specialist car manufacturer when it came to a design and supply service for small numbers of engine mounting systems. Vibra-Technics Automotive was originally established to fill that gap. Subsequently racing and fast road saloon car mounts were developed for a variety of makes and this has grown the business to where we are offering over 75 specific products for high performance cars with another 18 general products which can be used in a variety of applications from ATV's to V8 engined kit cars.

Vibra-Technics products are manufacturer primarily from natural rubber compounds and occasionally from blends of synthetic and natural rubber to give particular properties for specific applications. Extensive experience and testing in all kinds of environmental conditions by Automobile Manufacturers has shown that only natural rubber compounds give optimum performance and durability (which is why it is still universally used today by every car manufacturer). Where the rubber needs to be attached to metal components, this is achieved by chemically bonding the rubber to the metal during the molding process, using the latest chemical adhesive systems.

Our rubber-to-metal bonded products are designed specifically for high performance applications where a direct replacement for the standard mount is required along with a much higher level of engine control to cope with higher engine outputs and higher road inputs caused by fast driving. The Fast Road mounts give significant improvements in ride and handling without adversely affecting vibration isolation. The competition mounts also eliminate clearance problems with strut braces and exhaust systems, body panels etc. and improve handling whist still giving vibration isolation at high engine speeds. Competition mounts are not recommended for road use.
